BOOKING PROCEDURE 2012/13
- Provisional Bookings to be made by calling Paula on 0116 2629739.
- The current entrance fee for pupils from Leicestershire & Rutland is £5.00 per child. For schools who are not based within Leicestershire or Rutland the charge is £7.00 per child. To confirm your booking please return your completed booking form, along with a cheque for your deposit of £75.00 per session made payable to Leicestershire & Rutland Crimebeat Ltd. Provisional bookings not confirmed within 30 days will be cancelled and the date will become available to other schools to book. We do ask that to avoid confusion, completed booking forms are only sent in once your date(s) have been confirmed with Paula as available.
- On receipt of your completed booking form, written confirmation of your booking along with a receipt for the deposit will be sent to you.
- As there may be a substantial gap between making your booking and actually attending the centre, we will contact you approximately two weeks before your visit date to confirm details and check the number of pupils you will be bringing. However, we do ask that if you become aware that your numbers will change significantly, you need to notify us as soon as possible to ensure we are able to meet your changing needs in the most effective way.
- On arrival at Warning Zone you will be met by a member of staff who will act as the visit manager for the duration of the visit. You will be asked to verify and sign off the actual number of pupils attending. Please note: These numbers will be used to determine your final invoice total (minus your deposit). If your numbers on the day are below the minimum number of 15, in line with our minimum charge policy of £75.00 per session, no refund will be given.

About your Visit
"Education by Experience". Warning Zone is made up of 8 set-piece scenarios, each incorporating realistic settings, inter-active equipment and special effects. Schools can book either a morning or afternoon session lasting 2 hours with a usual maximum of 48 pupils. After a briefing session, children work in small groups of 6 with a trained volunteer and there are no paper and pens; everything being "hands-on", visual and experiential. They are placed in credible life-like situations requiring decisions to be made and consequences discussed.
Post-visit resources are provided enabling follow-up work to continue in the classroom.
"There is absolutely no way that we could deliver these key messages with the same amount of impact."
