Richard was born in Leicester and is married with two daughters. He has spent most of his working life in the printing industry working in the sales and marketing section before taking on the role of Operations Manager at Warning Zone. In his spare time he is heavily involved in the running of one of the largest disability swimming club in the country. His other interests include singing, playing cricket and being a keen supported of Leicester Tigers.
Helen moved to Leicester from Devon in 1988 having graduated from Loughborough University. She worked at the Next head office as a Merchandiser for 12 years. She now lives with her husband, 2 children & 4 chickens in Tur Langton! Helen has also owned & run a bespoke chocolate company so is very popular with her colleagues! She volunteered at WZ for a year before joining the team in September 2015. Her role includes visit managing, the management of non-school visitors/hiring of premises and helping with events/marketing. She loves spending time with her family, growing and cooking with her own fruit and vegetables, baking and long walks in the countryside.
Anna was born in Leicester and returned to the city in 2012 after working in Retail Management in Hertfordshire for 9 years. Anna is our Schools and Engagement Co-ordinator and is also a visit manager for our E-Safety Zone. She lives with her partner, their two children and the family cat, Ruby Tuesday. Anna enjoys spending time with her friends and family and eating out. Anna also enjoys cooking, making the most of her Italian heritage by recreating some family favourites.
Louise has lived in Leicestershire her whole life. She is married with three children. Louise is responsible for the recruitment, training and support of our volunteer guides. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, watching her two sons play football, running her children to their various and sporting events, and countryside walks with the family dog.
Mary was born in Oxford and moved to Leicestershire in 1994. She is married with two grown children and two grandchildren. In 2003 Mary joined the British Red Cross as a community fundraiser, gaining a wide experience in all types of community fundraising before moving to WZ in 2015. Mary enjoys supporting her local community, having served as a local primary school governor and as a Red Cross volunteer. She enjoys walking, holidays and a good book! Mary’s role is to work with local community groups, companies and volunteers to generate funds and raise awareness to ensure that WZ is able to continue to offer its life skills to future generations of local young people.
Dave is entering his 10th year of being associated with Warning Zone. Previously a volunteer, Dave joined the team last September to help generate funding, thus allowing Warning Zone to continue to develop its invaluable work. Dave is a father of four and a grandfather of two and in his spare time likes to attend live bands, go on holiday whenever possible and enjoys walks in the countryside (and a good pub meal never goes amiss).
Lauren joined Warning Zone on an internship in January 2016. She graduated from University of Leicester with a degree in BA Ancient History and Archaeology. Her previous jobs include working as an ambassador for her university, as a NCS mentor and within the food industry. One of her proudest achievements is raising £2,650 for the international charity ChildReach and trekking to Everest Base Camp in 2014. She enjoys reading, history and art.
