10,000th CHILD VISITS WARNING ZONE
2008-10-15
Three years after first opening, children's safety education centre Warning Zone has welcomed its 10,000th school pupil. Ten year old Elsie Tata, who visited the centre with her classmates from Avenue Primary School in Leicester, was presented with a certificate recording the occasion by Thomas Cooper, High Sheriff of Rutland. The school was also given a commemorative certificate.
Elsie said, "It was fun. I liked the way everything was inter-active so I'll remember it all. I'm going to tell my family what I have learned."
Class teacher Clare Botting said, "This is the third year we have been to Warning Zone. It fully involves the children in really important issues for their age group."
