New Fire Service staff at Warning Zone
19/04/2011
Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service has underlined their commitment to Warning Zone by continuing their secondment of a member of staff to act as Operations Co-ordinator at Frog Island.
Since the development of Warning Zone began in late 2005, Martin Bee, Mark Lint and most recently, Rob Taylor, have all been on the staff at Warning Zone and have played a crucial part in our success.
Now, Peter Cotgreave and Carl Clayton from the Fire Service's Community Safety Support Team have joined us in a job share arrangement. After a career as a fire fighter, Peter has been delivering fire education in schools and has acted as a volunteer guide at Warning Zone. Carl too is a time-served fire fighter with experience in fire protection systems. Recently Carl has also been delivering fire education programmes in the same team as Peter.
Chief Executive Officer, Sharon Binfield Hill said,
"We are really pleased that the Fire Service recognise the link between what Warning Zone is able to deliver to a large number of young people and their own aims of reducing fire related deaths and arson. Peter and Carl will be playing key roles in our preparations to re-open Warning Zone and in the day to day operation in the future."
