Osprey Cruises Raise £5500

On July 12th and 14th the High Sheriff of Rutland Mr Peter Lawson and High Sheriff of Leicestershire Mr Resham Sandhu took to the waters on the Rutland Belle along with 70 guests. The event was organised to watch the Ospreys feeding and raised vital funding for Warning Zone the adopted Charity of the High Sheriffs'.

Fortunately the weather stayed fine and on both evenings guests witnessed several birds feeding over Rutland water. There was a party atmosphere on board, with wine generously sponsored by The Everard Foundation, and some extremely delicious canapés provided by Elizabeth Mills, Miranda Hall, Sarah Forsyth, Trish Ruddle and Anna Hunt .

Out on deck Tim Mackrill, an expert from Rutland Water's Osprey Project, provided an extremely informative and amusing commentary.
