Warning Zone Reopens
21/09/2011
Now, following a £1 million pound fundraising campaign, this exciting Learning for Life centre, unique in the East Midlands, has re-opened for business at its new premises on Frog Island in Leicester.
On Tuesday 20th September, Braunstone Community Primary brought their Year 6 pupils who were the first of many to experience the new Warning Zone, the purchase and re-furbishment of which has been funded almost wholly by sponsorship, grants and donations. The first session was also attended by a large contingent of media including a film crew from BBC East Midlands Today and a live broadcast on BBC Radio Leicester.
Grainne Purkiss, Year 6 teacher at the school said, "Thank you for today. The children have had a great experience and the issues they have dealt with at Warning Zone are really important for every child."
