WARNING ZONE is "ON THE ROAD" for 2009/10

Since 2006, Warning Zone, the children's safety education centre in Syston, has provided schools with a unique facility to help educate their Year 6 pupils in issues around safety, personal responsibility and offending. As well as linking directly to the PSHE/Citizenship curriculum, visiting Warning Zone helps enable schools evidence their commitment to their Healthy Schools status and the Every Child Matters outcomes.

We have now been given notice on the lease of the premises at Syston and our trustees have taken the exciting decision to move Warning Zone to a new location. The premises will not be ready for use until the 2010/11 academic year so for one year only, starting in September, we are offering the opportunity of having us come to you.

For those of you who have visited Warning Zone, it will clearly be impossible to replicate the interactive scenarios which make such an impact on the children but we believe that issues such as peer pressure, staying safe and keeping out of trouble can be addressed in the classroom by using our briefing film followed by a carousel style session which incorporates four activities. Each session will be of 90 minutes maximum duration and delivered to a single class at a time with an absolute maximum of 36 children in one session. If you would like to book for us to visit your school our offices are open 0830 - 1630 Monday to Friday and we ask that you contact our Administrator Paula on 0116 2604181 to obtain a provisional date.

Once you have a provisional booking, we do ask that a completed booking form be returned to us within 10 days to confirm the date and agree our terms and conditions. Booking forms and copies of our terms and conditions can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.

CHARGES - Leicester City Council and Rutland County Council, have funded our visits to their schools. Leicestershire County Council have made no such commitment therefore County Schools and Independent schools will be charged £5 per Year 6 child on role, with a minimum of £75 per session. The good news is that this year you won't be needing to hire a coach! 

Groups other than school parties will incur a charge of £5 per head with a minimum booking fee of £100.
