Zone Description

Warning Zone is made up of 8 set-piece scenarios. Each incorporates realistic settings, interactive equipment and special effects. There are no paper and pens, everything being "hands-on" and experiential. Each scenario only lasts 12 minutes, has 5 key learning points and concludes with a check on understanding.

Building Sites/Electricity

The dangers of trespassing on building sites, in electrical sub-stations and the hazards of overhead power lines.


Risks on the Road

Highlighting the health benefits of walking and cycling while considering how to reduce the dangers from traffic, particularly when going to and from school.


Alcohol & Under-age Drinking

Focusing on groups of young people drinking in public places, this scenario looks at the legal, health and anti-social behaviour issues.


Personal Safety

All about making safe choices, recognising when we are potentially unsafe and assessing risk levels.


Railways

Why railway lines are such dangerous places and what could happen if you throw stones at trains.


Risk Around Water

This scenario covers all aspects of water safety whether at the beach or near a canal.


Criminal Damage & Arson

Using criminal damage and arson as examples, the consequences of crime and offending are explored while considering the power of peer pressure.


Fire Risk in the Home

Common causes of accidental house fires, smoke detectors, fire escape plans and making 999 calls are all looked at in this scenario.
